Southern Energy Conference
BETA Land Services will be a participating sponsor for the SOUTHERN ENERGY CONFERENCE this September 17th-18th at the DoubleTree in Lafayette, LA. The first ever Southern Energy Conference presented jointly through LOGA and LMOGA will be an opportunity to gain connections, skills, information and influence in the industry. Additionally, you will hear firsthand from this fall's gubernatorial candidates at the 2019 Gubernatorial Forum, just one of the many exciting events of the two-day conference.

BETA Opens New Office in Downtown Houston
BETA Land Services has opened a new corporate office in Houston. Located in downtown Houston, the new office will help BETA better service clients across the country. The offices are co-managed by Cato L. Clark, RPL, and James R. “Dee” Alexander, III, RPL. The new offices are located at Three Allen Center, 333 Clay Street, Suite 4890, Houston, TX 77002. BETA Launches New Resume Submission Database
A new web-based process to help landmen be considered for projects nationwide has been unveiled by BETA Land Services. This new process will allow landmen to submit their resumes to a database that BETA can use to locate landmen quickly and easily based on their location and skillset. This new online database allows landmen seeking opportunities to avoid potential errors or delays that can come with email submission of resumes.
BETA’s New Brand Takes Off at NAPE
A significant and comprehensive overhaul of the BETA Land Services brand will culminate at the Winter NAPE Expo in Houston with the unveiling of the new BETA brand. The initiative to overhaul the brand and reposition BETA Land Services includes a new logo, new corporate colors, a new website (www.betalandservices.com) and a new 20’ x 20’ event booth, which makes its debut at Winter Nape.

Plains closes on $5.4B Gulf of Mexico BP deal
Plains Exploration & Production Co. said Friday that it has completed its $5.36 billion acquisition of some BP deep-water assets in the Gulf of Mexico, as the British oil giant seeks to cover its costs related to the massive oil spill there in 2010.
New Study Details Job, Revenue Growth from Shale Energy Production in All 50 States
The second phase of a comprehensive new study co-sponsored by the U.S. Chamber’s Institute for 21st Century Energy was released today, highlighting the benefits that shale energy will have on America’s economy over the coming years. IHS, a leading global energy research firm, is conducting the three part study to examine the economic impact of shale energy exploration and production across the country. Part one of the report, which focused on the national benefits, was released last month.
